Weekly roadworks update ​
As part of Buckinghamshire Council’s £100m investment in roads across the county over the next four years, work will be taking place next week at the following locations through Transport for Buckinghamshire’s Strategic Highway Maintenance Programme.
 
Some activities are extremely weather dependent, therefore dates shown are subject to change at short notice. These dates may also be subject to change depending on the availability of materials and the effects of Covid-19 on supply chain partners.
 
No weekend working unless specified.
 
Conventional Resurfacing Works
Elora Road, High Wycombe (Monday 14 November)
Resurfacing works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 5:00pm.
Parkfield Avenue, Amersham – From Grimsdell’s Lane to Chestnut Lane (Tuesday 15 November to Thursday 17 November)
Resurfacing works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 5:00pm.
Lindsay Avenue, High Wycombe – Dashwood Avenue to Abercromby Avenue (Wednesday 16 November to Thursday 17 November)
Resurfacing works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
The Common, Stokenchurch (Friday 18 November to Friday 25 November)
Resurfacing works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 5:00pm.
 
Microsurfacing Ironworks
Wycombe Road, Holmer Green (Monday 7 November to Friday 18 November)
Raising ironworks using a road closure and give and take traffic management in operation Monday to Saturday between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
 
Plane and Patch Works:
Asheridge Road, Chesham – From Hivings Hill to Chess Vale Bowls Club (Monday 14 November to Tuesday 15 November)
Plane and patch works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 5:00pm.
Two Dells Lane, Chesham – (Monday 14 November to Tuesday 15 November)
Plane and patch remedial works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 7:30am and 5:00pm.
Fulmer Road, Gerrards Cross – From M40 Overbridge to the A40 (Friday 18 November to Tuesday 22 November)
Plane and patch works using a road closure in operation Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 3:30pm.
 
Footway Improvement Works
Broughton Avenue, Aylesbury – From Richmond Road to Parton Road (Monday 17 October to Friday 9 December)
Footway improvement works using a footway closure and give and take traffic management in operation Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
Narbeth Drive, Aylesbury – From Eastfield Road to Henry Road (Wednesday 26 October to Friday 18 November)
Footway improvement works using a footway closure and give and take traffic management in operation Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
 
Department for Transport Fund Works
Aylesbury Gyratory Refurbishment – From Walton Road to Stoke Road (Monday 10 October to Friday 25 November)
Various civils works, new traffic signals, lining, surfacing, and electrical works using lane closures and multi-way lights in operation Monday to Friday between 9:00am and 3:30pm.
 
Drainage Improvement Works
Beacon Road, Ringshall (Monday 31 October to Wednesday 23 November)
Drainage improvement works using a road closure in operation between 7:00am and 7:00pm and temporary traffic lights when necessary.
Pednor Road, Chesham – From Church Street to Drydell Lane, Chesham (Monday 31 October to Friday 25 November)
Drainage improvement works using a road closure in operation between 7:00am and 7:00pm and temporary traffic lights when necessary.
 
Network Safety Improvement Works
New Street, Aylesbury – New Street/Buckingham Road roundabout (Monday 14 November to Tuesday 22 November)
Zebra crossing improvement works using multi-way lights in operation Monday to Friday between 8:00pm and 6:00am.
 
Safety Barrier Works
A41 Aston Clinton Bypass, Aston Clinton – From Woodlands Roundabout to Tring Hill Slip Roads (Monday 14 November to Friday 25 November)
Safety barrier terminal upgrades and repairs using lane closures and slip road closures in operation Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
 
Community Board Works:
A41 Roman Road, Kingswood (Tuesday 15 November)
Installation of gateway features and signs using 2-way temporary traffic lights in operation Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 3:30pm.
 
Bridge Schemes:
High Street, Marlow – Marlow Bridge (Monday 10 May 2021 to Friday 16 December 2022)
Major bridge refurbishment using a footway closure when appropriate in operation Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
 
Highway Infrastructure Projects (HIPs)
A41 Bicester Road – Rabans Lane to Paradise Orchard including Jackson Road and Dickens Way, Aylesbury (2 September to 30 November)
The contractor will be carrying out snagging work including erecting large direction signs, replacing damaged kerbs, and rain gardens at Jackson Road and Dickens Way junctions with A41 and topsoiling and seeding the verges, these works will be done with lane incursions to allow traffic to flow from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
